Cosy at the Club

A relatively new edition to the Coventry restaurant scene is the ultra hip and trendy Cosy Club. Located in the heart of Coventry in Broadgate this modern hipster restaurant isn't out of place alongside the likes of Wagamamas and Las Iguanas. Boosting a beautiful outdoor terrace area overlooking the Lady Godiva herself and 4.7 miles of reclaimed wooden floorboards it is no surprise that this restaurant attracts the crowds 7-days a week, not only for the fabulous food but also the delicious cocktails on offer.

Since The Cosy Club came to Coventry I myself have tried it twice. On one occasion I opted for the Tapas, with 3 choices for £11.95 served with ciabatta you certainly won't go hungry. From the Tapas menu I decided to try a few dishes I normally wouldn't consider, Pulled Chicken & Chorizo, Spicy Chicken Wings and Beef & Pork Meatballs. I'm a massive fan of Tapas as I love dishes that allow you to try something different and with Tapas because they are smaller dishes if you don't like all the dishes you won't leave hungry because you'll have other alternatives to choose from.

On my second dining experience I would decide to opt for a main course, although I did really enjoy the Tapas I thought it only fair to try something different. Totally unoriginal but I went for the Fish & Chips, beer battered cod, with thick-cut chips, minty mushy garden peas and tartar sauce for £11.95. As will all Fish & Chips this traditional meal really filled me up and I must say the highlight of the meal for me had to be the peas. Normally I'm not a fan of peas and will avoid them at all cost but these were just incredible with a hint of mint and I wouldn't hesitate to have this meal a second time around. For dessert I obviously went for something chocolaty with the Chocolate Pot with raspberry coulis and shortbread biscuit.  After the Fish & Chips the Chocolate Pot finished me off and I couldn't quite manage it all, I think my tummy felt a little overwhelmed by chocolate to say the least.

So if you're looking for somewhere to eat or even drink I would definitely recommend The Cosy Club. It offers a whole host of unique meals you won't find anywhere else in Coventry from the Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Burger to the Empire Curry and some incredible cocktails, my personal favourite is the ultra refreshing gin based English Garden.

**My second visit to The Cosy Club Coventry was complimentary to review the restaurant, all opinions are honest and my own

10 Reasons Blogging is Toxic

Throughout my time as a blogger I constantly have random thoughts and questions about blogging and is it really worth it? Part of me thinks that blogging and everything that surrounds it can be totally toxic, I still continue to do it as it is something I love despite how hard it can be to manage and uphold even if you're a full-time blogger let alone working a 40-hour a week job on top. Here are my 10 toxic thoughts: -

1. You constantly compare yourself to other bloggers. Why doesn't my blog look that good? Where do they get all of their ideas from? How did they get that perfect Instagrammable worth photo?

2. Blogging takes up a heck a lot of time, meaning sometimes you might have to cancel plans or you can't spend your evenings vegging out having a Netflix marathon, potentially resulting in your partner being slightly miffed but ever so understanding.

3. Why do certain bloggers get more opportunity than others? Another case of the green eyed monster although I would never begrudge anybody of having opportunities I can't help but think why not me?

4. Twitter feuds! Lets be honest Twitter has been doing overtime with fellow bloggers having disagreements. Nothing wrong with that but in my opinion sometimes it can go too far.

5. Those blog posts that make you question your entire blogging existence "5 Reasons Why I Will Never Return To Your Blog" I think I might shed a tear.

6. Why did I pick such a darn expensive hobby? Yes you can always work with what you got but you'll always want to upgrade to make your blog the best it can possibly be. From a new laptop to the latest camera and don't even get me started on those haul treats you need to buy for a post.

7. The constant struggle between deciding whether to be a blogger or enter the world of YouTube.

8. Coming up with original and interesting posts, I regularly try to brainstorm ideas for my blog but it's one thing writing ideas down and actually producing a post.

9. Re-taking the same photo multiple times because you just don't like it.

10. The struggle of keeping your tech charged up! Phone, check! Camera, check! Laptop, check!

I hope I'm not the only one out there that sometimes has these frustrations and thoughts? Let me know if you can relate to any of my blogging woes or if you have any other struggles with the blogging life?

Obsessions #3 ♡

Keeping it small this time around I actually don't have that many products I'm really obsessing over at the moment. I'm not sure why I think it might be because its been that time of the month and my skins been reacting really badly to it especially around my chin and jawline, I have no idea why as it's never usually this bad but I can only assume that the heat isn't helping with keeping my skin clear and oil free, let me know if you have any recommendations on how to control hormonal spots or adult acne I'd really appreciate any tips or help. With that being said a few of the products I've been enjoying using are skincare related but I'm still currently experimenting with products to help with my breakouts so there aren't that many and I've been almost detoxing from makeup to help were possible and as I've been off from work for over a week on annual leave and not necessarily going out this has been a great opportunity to go makeup free.

P.S Pro Brush Primark £1.00: - After seeing all of these oval precision brushes all of the internet I was like no way is this for me and dismissed it pretty much straight away. Let much just say how wrong was I? I mean move over your generic foundation brush and Beauty Blender because I ain't looking back! This has completely changed the way I apply my make up and I couldn't be more than happier with the results it gives. I swear it honestly leaves my skin looking airbrushed it applies foundation that well. I've also been using it to apply my concealer under my eyes, on my nose and on my chin/ jawline area and again brilliant. The P.S Pro Brush just literally works wonders in buffs in my foundation so smoothly and my concealer application has never looked so faultless leaving no creased lines or patchiness. I'm almost tempted to purchase the amazing 8 piece Makeup Revolution Precision Brush Collection but at £45.00 at the moment it's a tad out of my price range even if that equates to just over £5.50 per brush, the struggles of saving hey?

Benefit They're Real Mascara Mini £9.95: - On my quest to use up some of my mini products, seriously I don't know how I accumulate so many of them, I took a couple of my mini Benefit mascaras to London with me including this one and Benefit Badgal Lash Mini Mascara £5.00. Although I did like the Badgal mascara I felt the applicator was a little bit OTT for me and the size of it scared me a tad, not something I'd want to be putting near to my eyes on a restless morning of fears of poking my eyes out. But the applicator on the They're Real mascara is ideal for me and something I feel much more comfortable using. I will say Benefit have done a great job with these mascaras as they hold out incredibly well and once the end of the day comes I struggle to remove every last trace of mascara all be it I try my hardest. The They're Real adds a nice bit of length to my lashes and since using it in London my love for mascaras is starting to grow again as before I could take it or leave it... yes I know shocking, people always find that bizarre as mascara is something they can't do without even if it's the only piece of makeup they're applying but I can honestly be happy without it. I'd certainly recommend the mini mascaras if you are travelling anywhere as they come in super cute small packaging suitable to pop in either your handbag or makeup bag for the journey, plus they last out really well considering they are in miniature version.

The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter £6.00 50ml: - Admittedly I would have never have purchased this myself but The Body Shop kindly gifted it to me when I attended an event a few months ago and I've been using it on and off ever since. The strawberry scent seriously lingers longingly once applied to the skin, I like to use it just after I've showered and am about to jump in to my pyjamas for the night, with that being said I can actually smell it on my pyjamas right now after it's transferred on to them. Despite it being a smaller body butter I've almost used it all up and that's a great achievement within my skincare routine because I almost hate moisturising my body and I have a lot of products to choose from so to be nearly coming to an end I'd say it's done well.

Revolution Radiant Lights Glow £5.00: - I honestly can't believe this is the first time I'm talking about this product as I'm absolutely in love with it, so much so I use it more or less every single day to the point I've had to swap it out to allow my other highlighting products to get some use. Paul actually brought this for me for my birthday all the way back in June a I'd popped it on my birthday list, believe me the Makeup Revolution list was looooong as they are one or if not my favourite makeup brand for both quality and affordability and I'd be shock if a day goes by without a Makeup Revolution product being in my makeup routine. Initially when I opened up this highlighter I gasped and thought I wouldn't be able to pull it off but it transfers as such a beautiful light bronze shimmery highlighter on to my skin and has been the perfect highlighting buddy for the summertime.

Clean and Clear Advantage Spot Treatment Gel £2.90 15ml: - What an absolute lifesaver this has been over the past fortnight. In times of need or shell we say "that time of the month" I needed something to help with a) my spots in general and b) the horrendous redness that came with them. Luckily I remember I had this 10ml sample size of Johnson & Johnson Clean & Clear from when I attended one of Abbigayle's from Stealstylist events Summer Scoop. This teamed with my Tea Tree oil treatment has worked wonders and I've really seen my spots reduce over night once I've applied the treatment gel. I'll certainly be keeping this one handy for the next time I suffer from any hormonal breakouts that's for sure.

Little bit Lavish subscription box included in £20.00 per month Satin Leg Gloss £9.00 30ML: - Included in a subscription box gifted to me at the #BloggerTikiParty was this gorgeous Satin Leg Gloss by Evolve Beauty. The subscription box it came in was the Little bit Lavish box a brand new pamper product service perfect for pampering yourself with every month. Inside the box you will receive beautiful products to help you relax including face masks, lips balm or even a luxurious bathbomb the possibilities of pamper are endless believe me. The satin leg gloss that came inside the box is an impressive full size product designed to give your legs a glossy high shine finish and it does just that. I've been applying this dry body oil frequently throughout the summer as not only is it perfect at making your pins look banging in that playsuit it actually helps keep them soft and smooth after shaves. Just to make it even more fancy the mineral mica and titanium, yea I said titanium, will add a sparkle to your legs and the scent of sweet candy will leave peoples mouths watering, okay maybe a tad too far.

Heavan by Deborah Mitchell Weekenders Skincare Kit £28.00 10ml per product: - I couldn't contain my excitement when the lovely girls from Heaven at the #BloggerTikiParty said we could take some of the full size products home, what a kind gesture and a brilliant way to try out a new skincare brand. Lucky for me I got to take home the Weekenders Skincare Kit Anti Ageing, there are also other variations of the kit including acne, eczema and rosacea to name a few out of the 9 available, but considering the consultant ladies only had this one available this is the one I was gifted plus although I don't like to admit it, it is more than likely the one I would have opted for myself as I'm pushing thirty now. Included in the set you get Orange Flower Cell Renewal Hydro-gel, Bee Polish, Hydro Cleansing Milk these are pictured above as well as Age Defiance Moisturiser 5ml and sachets of Willow Bee Mask and Bee Bee Cream. I've included the 3 products above as these are the only once I've had the opportunity to try out so far plus I want to save the sachets for when I really need them, preferably when I need some youth restoring in to my face at the end of a working week. These are the perfect trio to pack away in your travel bag for your skincare routine and at the moment I tend to use them of a night time once I've removed all of my makeup. The hydro-gel in particular has to be my favourite as it freshens up my skin so much after a long day and you can even double it up and use it as a primer. After trying out these products I'll certainly be looking towards the Heaven brand more for skincare especially since I'm approaching my thirties and I honestly believe in looking after your skin at all ages but do we truly care about it until we get that little bit older?

Although a small collection of products this time around I'm proud to say that there are some different brands included that might actually be new to some people out there. Hopefully you've taken some inspiration from my recommended products and will be excited to potentially try them out as well. I'd love to hear if you have tried out any of the above products in particular anything from Heaven by Deborah Mitchell, Evolve or if you are interested in signing up to the Little bit Lavish subscription box.

Creightons Shampoo & Conditioner Review

My favourite current shampoo and conditioner has to be the Creightons Beautiful Brunette. I decided to try this out a while ago when I spied it in my local pound shop and thought it was worth a go. Lucky for me the wonderful people at Soapbox PR contacted me to send me some of the Creightons products and because I already knew I loved the products I obviously jumped at the chance to try them out again plus some more products from the Creightons range. Of course being a true brunette I've been using the Beautiful Brunette shampoo and conditioner the most and can give the most detailed review about these products in particular. The Beautiful Brunette range consists of argon and chestnut, something in particular that really stands out to me with the Creightons range is that it contains Pro-Vitamin B5 and sunscreen to protect your gorgeous hair, although I'm sure you'll be shocked to read we've actually had some really warm days in the U.K recently so the sun protection factor is much appreciated. Both the shampoo and condition come out in a dark brown shade, slightly off putting but this is all to help with enhancing either your natural colour or if you're a colour treated brunette. I've found that the combination of both leaves my hair feeling super soft and clean and I would certainly recommend the Creighton brand to others. As I mentioned above I have found this brand in Poundworld but it is also available through Tesco for £1 250ml.

Top picture- Beautiful Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner- Sunshine Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner
Bottom picture- Sunshine Blonde Tone Correcting Shampoo and Conditioner- Fizz No More Shampoo and Conditioner- Fizz No More Sleek & Shine Miracle Serum

Unfortunately I don't really have any use for the blonde hair care products so I'll be giving them to family & friends to try out and enjoy. I've started adding the Fizz No More Sleek & Shine Miracle Serum to my hair care routine and like to run a couple of pumps of it through my hair at the ends and a slight less amount on the top as these are the areas of my hair that tend to frizz during styling. I've found that this product has kept my hair relatively frizz free and it doesn't encourage oil or the greasy hair that I tend to get when I apply more products. In the coming week I'm looking at re-colouring my hair so I'm saving and planning on using the Fizz No More shampoo and conditioner then once it's done as it says it's colour kind so I think it would be best to save it for then.

Have you tried out any of the Creightons range? I'm really enjoying the products and the fact that the Creightons range specifically caters to different hair types. I would certainly recommend these products but would you agree, as the products are so cheap at just £1 do you get what you pay for?

GLAMORISER Free-Stylers First Impressions

Being a naturally curly haired lady over the years growing up for me I've always been on the search for the perfect hair tools to give me that poker straight look. And although you can create many looks with straighteners other than straight locks this was why I always had a pair to hand. Throughout my teens as I grew my straighteners evolved from those beauty reto Babyliss wonders, to portables straighteners that required mini gas canisters, then Revlon to GHD's. I currently use a brand of straighteners from Irresistible Me you can read my full post here. But as I'm sure you will agree straighteners have never really been "travel friendly" until now. The brand Glamoriser London have brought us these cord free travel friendly straighteners Free-Styler. You can get your hands on these from numerous popular online and high-street outlets including Very, Argos, Boots and Debenhams from roughly £69.99- £59.99.

Features & Benefits of the Free-Stylers
stated in PR leaflet included

1. Small in size, big in power - fits perfectly into your handbag for professional results any place, any time, any way
2. Cordless - no cable, use anywhere
3. Black diamond oil infused plates reduce frizz for intense shine & luminescence

Style straight or create curls
Floating ceramic plates glide through hair without snagging
Up to 40 minutes use 3-4 hours charging time
Travel lock and pouch
Variable heat settings to 200°C for complete styling or just touching up
Ultra fast heat recovery ready to use in 120 seconds

My first impressions of the design of the Free-Styles was like wow, I like the black on while with the Glamoriser logo printed on top in gold. The travel lock at the back of the straighteners is perfect to close them and make them even more compact allowing you to pop them inside your handbag perfectly without taking up to much space. There are two settings on the straighteners one at low and the other high which is the setting for 200°C, and when turned on there is a flashing blue light that indicates that they are warming up and stops flashing once the temperature has been reached. Below the power switch there is an indicator of how much charge you have left in the straighteners and as this goes down a light will go off rather than its usual light blue colour. The Free-Stylers heat up incredibly fast and I would not argue that the ready to use in 120 seconds is true. After charging for a good 4 hours I decided to test out these cordless minis to see what results they would give my hair. Ultimately I would not replace my day-to-day straighteners with these but I don't think they set out to do that but they are ideal for touch ups and perfect for your handbag especially if you get caught in a hair emergency, that I have found myself in many times on a night out and had to use the toilet pay as you use straighteners but these are ideal to eliminate that nightmare. On my first use they did leave my hair slightly static and when I placed my hands near to the plates I did feel a slight electric spark from this but nothing at all to alarm me and after the first initial use this did not happen again.

If you are looking for some super travel friendly mini straighteners for daily touch ups or short hair these would be perfect however I would not recommend for daily use on longer hair.

TOAD Diaries The Blogger Edition

To keep your blog organised I feel like every good blogger needs the perfect blogging journal. A must for jotting down your ideas and planning out your post before you publish them to go live to the world. Luckily enough for me when I attended the BloggerTikkiParty I started talking with Emily from TOAD Diaries, unfortunately all of the blogger journals had already been bagged by some of the other bloggers at the event, but Emily kindly said if I dropped her an email she would kindly send one out to me which she indeed did. The whole purpose of Toad providing the Blogging Journal was for actual bloggers to be able to test try out them out, review them and feedback to TOAD about any recommended possible improvements. In case you didn't know TOAD Diaries in a nutshell allows you to create and personalise your own diary or notebook, pretty darn awesome hey? The TOAD Blogger Journal has a protective plastic cover wiro bonded on the front and the back keeping it safe from damage and any spillages if you're a total klutz like me. The front cover also has a very apt quote "I blog therefore I am" on it with a black marble effect surrounding it, TOAD have certainly done their research on us bloggers as I doubt you can deny everything is uber bloggeresk.

Upon opening the first page on the left you are greeted with beautiful inspirational quotes in a multicolored mixture my personal favourite has to be from Edward Young "Procrastination is the thief of time" never has a saying been more true. The right hand side of the journal focuses on The TOAD Story to tell us a little more about the brand and on this page it allows you to write your name and various contact details should you wish to, usually I don't like to add such personal details to my diaries, journals etc however I understand a lot of people do so this would be useful to many I'm sure. Inside the Blogger Journal the layout consists of a date & day log, goals, achieved by, reward, a to do tick list and a plain dotted layout which is brilliant if like me you like to bullet journal. I could honestly see myself using the majority of the subheadings to jot down thoughts and ideas plus I find the dotted space great for forward planning. The only one thing I probably wouldn't use is the reward section, although this would suit a person who is a full-time blogger as they could log any sponsored paid content information here for me blogging is purely my hobby and although yes at times I am fortunate enough to receive things etc this is not often enough for me to require a reward section in my Blogging Journal. Towards the back you have some simple green plain paper, I'd mainly use this for brainstorming any ideas for future posts and what I need to do prior to the post being written for example written content, photographs and if there are any products I need to purchase for the post whether that be the product I'm reviewing or a prop for my photographs. At the back TOAD have been very cleaver and included a pocket for your journal so you can keep any items safe in it like train tickets, stamps or typical of me stickers, plus there is a cute origami toad you can make up included but I haven't given that a go yet.

Final thoughts are this is a bloggers MUST, perfect for staying organised and I'll certainly be using it in the future for writing down details and planning my future posts. Would you be interested in seeing an updated version of this post once I have been using the TOAD Blogger Journal for a while, please let me know in the comments below.

Netflix Recommendations #1

Whilst I've been on holiday and when I say holiday I literally just mean chilling at home I've become seriously obsessed with Netflix. You could say I've always been a fan of the online entertainment website, dipping in and out of it occasionally watching a film here and the odd season episode there but just recently I've become addicted to it. In case you've been living under a Netflix rock the current series taking over the lives of fellow Netflix lovers is Stranger Things with a whopping 8.2 million people watching it and this has been reported to be the most popular Netflix original series of all time and I can totally understand why. I'll try not to give too much away but I'd already watched the 10 episode series in a day, something totally unheard of for me but I just found it so gripping, think Alien, the Goonies, E.T set in the 80's with a funky playlist and that sums up Stranger Things as best I can without a spoiler alert. If you like the paranormal and a series that will keep you guessing then this is for you, my only problem now is awaiting confirmation of season 2, oh and of course #justiceforbarbs.

After finishing watching Stranger Things I needed something else to focus on so I turned to another Netflix original Narcos and I wasn't disappointed. Based on the life of the Columbia drug lord Pablo Escobar the first season looks at how he established his empire with the second season about to drop soon on the 2nd September continuing on from the first and we will see what Escobar does next after escaping his own personal prison, what will the Colombian government do and how will the DEA react to this? In comparison to Stranger Things I actually marginally prefer Narcos because it's based on a true life story and although totally mad and outrageous it is extremely interesting. Hurry up September! One thing to point out is you do really have to concentrate with this program as a lot is in subtitles due to it being in Spanish, if only I had concentrated more in my languages classes.

Links to the above program posters including Stranger ThingsNarcoPretty Little LiarsScream

Okay don't hate on me for saying this but I've only just recently "got into" Pretty Little Liars or PLL for shortened terms. I don't know why it took me so long as I'd always heard it mentioned and the massive following this program has but like I mentioned I'd never really become a Netflix addict only occasionally watching a film here and there. So forgive me I'm not very far in and my brain is a mess from all of the possibilities of who 'A' could be, I have to admit I've even occasionally Googled it because the not knowing is too much for me to stand although despite this I feel no more informed or satisfied from what I read online so with that said I should probably just continue watching and find out for my damn self! I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this program, should I continue watching it or just give up now before I become deeply invested in it?

A new Netflix original I've just started watching is the T.V series of Scream the cult horror movie from 1996, wow anybody else feel old? At the moment I'm only half way through season 1 but just like the film there is a crazy serial killer on the loose killing of the towns teenagers one by one it seems. Social media/ technology plays a big part in this just like PLL with the killer contacting Em on a regular basis via text message and phone calls with a creepy app changing voice on the other end. Warning don't watch this one on your own if you're easily scared and again like PLL it will leave you guessing who the Brandon James killer is, plus you'll probably have nightmares about that scary as hell mask!

And that's my round up of current Netflix recommendations. Let me know if you've watched or are watching any of the above programs, I'd in particular like to know your thoughts on Narcos and Stranger Things plus if Pretty Little Liars is really worth the hype?

Life Update #3

Well, well, well long time not talk people, you might all have been wondering where I've bloody well been but on the other hand you probably just didn't care, I'm going to believe my first point to make myself feel better. So as I'm writing this it's August a hot summers day, yes the summer finally came through for us and it's a rather pleasant 25°C and as mental as this sounds I'm about to munch on some delicious Camembert mmmmmm yummy.  In case you didn't know or I didn't previously mention although I believe I did me and Paul moved out of our rented apartment over a month ago now, it seems like such a long time but in reality it has only been 6 weeks. Nevertheless we had to move to save for a mortgage I mean I don't know about anybody else but seriously how do people afford to save up a decent amount of money whilst renting a property it just seems impossible. Since moving in with close relatives we've moved around the house numerous times as we ended up moving in mid re-decoration, we started off in the living room on a mattress, then in to the newly redecorated room whilst we waited for the furniture for that room to be delivered then finally now we are in the guest room which will be our room until we leave around January-  February time.

Work wise things are going well I'm still working towards my Level 3 in Hotel & Hospitality Management and have one more workshop to attend in November were I have to conduct a presentation. I'm super nervous about the presentation as I've had really bad experiences before and since then I've been massively anxious about presenting in front of other people. Whilst working towards my level 3 apprenticeship I've completed and passed my English functional skills and I'm currently awaiting to hear back about my Maths however this I found extremely difficult, I don't feel overly confident with numbers and when put under the pressure of an exam it makes me ten times worse and I just draw a blank. Personally I find Maths even more difficult because the majority of calculations you have to undertake I just don't use anymore in my everyday life and haven't since I studied GCSE Mathematics.

With everything that has been happening with the move and all I really haven't felt like uploading any posts lately and this is the reason why I've been absent from here as of late. Despite this behind the scenes so to speak I have been writing up a lot of posts so they are ready to be scheduled. I wanted to make sure that when I felt ready to come back I would have a good amount of posts behind me so I didn't have to constantly worry about last minute write ups. Unfortunately I just haven't been able to find the motivation to get involved in social media just lately therefore I felt like I really needed this break from it and the online world.

There you have it my life update in a snippet. Do you ever get tired of social media and just need a break away from it all? Is it totally fine to back away from your blog when you just need time to yourself?

White Glo Review

A toothpaste review I hear you say? Well the answer is yes but this isn't just a normal toothpaste it's the White Glo Professional Choice Whitening Toothpaste. The No. 1 rated whitening toothpaste in Australia is now coming to the U.K and from what I've seen so far it is available in Asda stores and also Superdrug as well as many reliable online shopping website sources. Throughout my twenties my teeth have become something I'd say I'm mildly obsessed with and I'm constantly worries about them either falling out, to the point I've actually dreamt about this happening although in my dream diary this apparently relates to either the thought of losing ones faculties, anxiety, bad health or the feeling of loss so there's a lot you can be experiencing in your life potentially if you dream about the loss of your teeth, the other reason I'm OTT with my teeth is because I always feel they are yellow stain shade, really not a good look. I appreciate that a slight tinge of yellow is probably natural and we all have it unless you are fortunate enough to be able to afford professional teeth whitening, but this is something I would love to be rid of and enjoy celebrity teeth statue like Kate Middleton she has wonderful pearly whites that are perfectly straight basically my teeth icon.

The result of trying to make my teeth as perfect as possible has led me to trying out many teeth whitening products. Let me say some have been good and some well not so good but certainly non-that I would have continued to use. This is a shame because personally I wouldn't say a teeth whitening product has a difficult job achieving some improved results with my teeth as I don't smoke, drink tea or coffee, red white etc the only thing I can think of that I eat a lot of that could possibly stain my teeth is fruit including a variety of berries.

Being an avid fan I would say of teeth whitening I have to admit I was more than looking forward to trying out the White Glo Whitening Toothpaste, I'm so bad  I won't ever opt for a silver filling when I go to the dentist I always have to have a white one so it blends in with my original teeth and doesn't stand out. Inside the White Glo Toothpaste you will also find some treats included with the product and I've seen this available first hand in Asda for myself, you'll not only receive the toothpaste 150g/ 100ml you'll also get a free White Glo "Anti-Stain" Toothbrush and free White Glo Dental Flosser and Toothpicks to reach those difficult places to clean. Since getting my hands on this toothpaste I've been using it regularly with my new toothbrush that was included, I might add I was super excited about this because the toothbrush also come with a sticky plunger at the bottom so you can stick your toothbrush to the wall to keep it away from potential germs reaching it. You can also use the paste on an electric toothbrush if you prefer so the option is entirely up to you and you don't have to feel like just because a non-electric toothbrush is included you have to use it.

This White Glo Whitening Toothpaste is suitable for low abrasion safe for daily use, fluoride protection against cavities and is an effective whitening formula. Despite this originally being an Australian product you can still get your hands on it pretty cheap from Superdrug for £3.99 and considering you are getting a whitening toothpaste, brush and flosser/ toothpicks I'd say this was a real bargain and certainly worth the money you're spending on it especially when considering toothpaste on its own can be over £1.00+ these days for a good reliable brand. I have to admit since receiving this product I've been more inclined to floss my teeth and although I don't dare to say this is something I would never normally do, but with the added floss toothpicks this has certainly encouraged me to do it more, it is recommend that you floss your teeth at least once a day.

Overall I would say I'm very happy with the product I really like that it came with extra added free teeth care items as it encourages me to take more care of my teeth. The toothpaste itself I like and I am seeing improvements with the shade of my teeth as they slowly get a lighter shade with every day I use the product. With the repurchase of the toothpaste you will for sure accumulate a few more toothbrushes than necessary but on the other hand I guess they will come in useful and if you don't need them you can always offer them to your friends or family.

Are you obsessed with keeping your teeth looking whiter than white? Would you ever consider profession teeth whitening?

Going back almost 2 weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend the #BloggerTikiParty event at the Island Bar, Birmingham hosted by the wonderful Kirsty Leanne. First of all I wanted to say a massive thank you to Kirsty personally through this post for all of the hard work and effort she clearly put in to the event. I know from reading Kirsty's post #BloggerTikiParty - We Need to Talk it certainly didn't work out how she had planned with a few attendees in fact spoiling the event, with people turning up uninvited, no shows, taking more than allowed and can you believe it stealing. Despite this I don't want to focus on these negative points that some people brought to the event as the amount of effort Kirsty put in to the BloggerTikiParty was unbelievable and I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable blogger events that I've been fortunate to attend throughout my nearly 3 years of blogging. I don't know how she managed it but Kirsty got some great brands involved in the TikiParty to name but a few including Little bit LavishthatlamecompanyEarlyBird - Healthy SnacksPeriod Box plus many, many more.

As it was Pina Colada day/ weekend we even got treated to a free cheeky cocktail at the party from Malibu, needless to say I was over the moon about this and the cocktail tasted amazing, usually I'm not a fan of the Pina Colado but there was just something about this one that just wowed me so a big thumbs up to the staff at the Island Bar your cocktail making skills are clearly on point. As always when attending a reasonably local blogging event I managed to catch up with some of my blogging/ social media chums which was lovely as always and make some new friends and of course we added each other via Twitter the social communication centre of any fellow bloggers life I'm sure you would agree?

Unfortunately I did struggle with photographs as the lighting transpired pretty bad on my camera but still I managed to get some shots of the venue and some of the brands that came along to the #BloggerTikiParty. I'm super excited to see what Kirsty will come up with for her next event I know she is looking at putting together a Halloween themed party shell we say which will be no doubt incredible and she will put in more than 100% effort towards it I'm sure to make sure that all the bloggers attending have the greatest time and explore new brands that they normally wouldn't be introduced to.

Have you ever been to any blogger events? I really enjoy meeting new people at them and making friends through my hobby, what's your favourite part about blogger meet ups?

Why I Love Pokemon Go!

With the Pokemon Go craze sweeping the nation I thought it only right to discuss this current popular app on my blog and explain why I friggin love it so much. Okay so let me start off by saying Pokemon is totally nostalgic for me and yes like a lot of you I'm sure it reminds you of those younger days when you used to be so care free about the world. Pokemon came around all the way back in the 90's in 1997 with me being 10 at the time. I'm almost certain I wouldn't have caught on to the craze straight away so I'll say for arguments sake I was roughly 12-14 years old when it started to impact me and become a big thing at my High School. Yes for those of you that don't remember Pokemon actually used to be a television series, then evolved Pokemon cards see what I did there and then finally for me the release of the Nintendo Game Boy Pokemon games, I had the blue version but you could also opt for red or yellow I believe, honestly I haven't the foggiest what the difference is I can only guess it would contain different types of Pokemon.

So with that a movie and a heck load of merchandise back in the 90's everybody of a certain age was hooked on Pokemon. Some of my firm favourites are well of course Pikachu and Charmander had to be up there but I also really used to like Jigglypuff, Meowth and you guessed it Psyduck what a legend! Needless to say when everyone started harping on about this Pokemon Go app I found myself really wanting to download it and once it was released in the U.K I went straight ahead and did just that.

Just to point out I don't purchase any additional items when playing games from the app store as personally I don't really think it's worth it so I purely just play the free option, although this can be frustrating and it can take longer to experience the full game unfortunately when you're saving money app purchases aren't a necessity in your life so I just struggle day-to-day trying to catch as many Pokemon as possible and stopping off at Pokestops as often as a I can.

You might be wondering why I enjoy Pokemon Go so much as the title as my post suggests, well here are a few reasons why: -

1. It's perfect for us 90's kids and it allows us to relive a little bit of our youth through an app, surprising how something so well not simple but small I guess can make you happy just by playing a game, and transport you back to your childhood
2. It brings people together, okay although we are still playing on our phones it's helping bring older and younger generations together with this common interest
3. The big one for this app is that it helps get people out of the house and exercising, you might only be walking but you're walking with a purpose to catch more Pokemon or to visit that Pokestop just down the road
4. The fact you can take photos of the Pokemon before you catch them is just a pure genius added extra to the game
5. You can just keep on catching Pokemon and evolve them and power up, battle in the gyms, the game is really never ending

Like any other app with sure popularity as this it does have its downfalls with the serve being down quiet a lot recently at the moment. I guess however this will improve over time and we have to consider the fact that the app is still at the moment being released in different countries still and this will no doubt have an impact plus there has been a lot of online talk about the app being hacked over the weekend. Despite this I still keep going back, I do want to catch them all, I want to do it before all of my friends who've downloaded the game yet the first thing I want to ask them when I see them is not "hello" but yet "which Pokemon have you caught today". I understand people might not be able to understand this craze but for something so almost as insignificant as an app bringing joy to peoples lives just let us enjoy this time as the craze won't last forever until something new comes along I'm sure.

So what are you waiting for go catch them all! With this app being such a big part of my life recently I'd like to hear what you think about it so please leave me a comment? I won't be offended if you don't like the app I'd just like to hear what others thoughts are on this whole Pokimania obsession we are experiencing.

A-Z of Klearly Kirsty

Over the past 2-3 year since I started blogging I've seen a lot of people do A-Z posts based on themselves and I always thought it was a great idea and a simple but perfect way to get to know somebody that little bit better with a touch of random facts thrown in for good measure. So with that here we are with me doing my A-Z of well yes you guessed it me. I'm actually relatively proud of myself for completing all of the letter some of them I struggled with but others I found easy and even had 2 or 3 other things I could have written about.

A - Adventures- Not one to be bored I always enjoy a good day out. That might be a shopping trip, a theme park as I'm a massive thrill seeker roller-coasters are my thing or a meal out I always want to be doing something with my life and keeping myself busy apart from when I'm napping of course
B - Beauty- Not really surprising but as you may know I'm an avid beauty fan. Believe me it wasn't always like this as growing up I was quiet the tomboy and in some respects I guess I still am as I like to have regular days off from beauty and relax with no make-up in my sweats and watch Netflix
C - Creative- Since a young age I've always been a creative type of person. I was always that child that had to have candle, soap, jewelry making kits to name a few. I guess that's why I enjoy blogging so much and although at times it gets overwhelming with working full time I don't think I could ever be happy just coming home after work and doing nothing every single day as I like to keep my brain active
D - Dwarf Hamsters- I have two dwarf hamsters Rocket and Rex, I believe they are around 4 months old, 5 at the oldest. We originally brought them as a pair both females as it is recommended to keep dwarfs together as 2's but unfortunately they didn't get on. They had to be separated but are both happy living in different cages with lots of fun activities to keep them entertained plus individual playtime and cuddles in the evening when they wake up
E - Emma Stone- There isn't a lot I don't love about this girl! The hair, the films and she's a total stunner. A total chic flick but one of my favourite girly films is Easy A, I could watch it over and over again "A is for awesome"
F - Florida- My favourite place on earth is Orlando Florida. I've been there 3 times and I'll be heading back there again next year for the Halloween season, the best time of year in America in my opinion. I'm a total Disney nut so Orlando is the perfect destination for me with Disney World being one of the main attractions. I also am a massive fan of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, I head over there for Halloween Horror Nights ever time I visit and it is truly one of the most incredible events I've ever been along to yet scary as hell. I love Universal to feed my Harry Potter addiction and if you're a fan-girl of the Potter like I am and have had the chance to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter you'll know what I'm saying when I say it's friggin awesome
G - Guardians of the Galaxy- One of the films that probably defines mine and Paul's relationship as it's always the one I remember we enjoyed together. We initially didn't intend on seeing it the evening we went to the cinema and changed our minds from the Purge as I don't think it was on once we arrived at the cinema to see Guardians of the Galaxy, I'm glad we did and I can't wait for the second installment
H - Holidays- One of my favourite "hobbies" is traveling and I find nothing more enjoyable than going on holiday. I apologies for this but for me going on holiday is leaving the U.K, I know a lot of people class going somewhere in the U.K as a holiday but I just can't get my head around that whole mindset. I've been fortunate enough to have traveled to some pretty outstanding places throughout my 29 years on the planet including Cancun Mexico, Orlando Florida, Paris France, various places in Spain, Rome Italy the list is endless and for that I'm thankful
I - Instagram- One of my favourite social media platforms although from time to time I do forget about it and then go on a post frenzy and upload about 5 pictures all within a minute
J - Journal- I've recently just started a bullet journal using the Leuchtturm 1917 in orange. Since starting I've become addicted to stickers, washi tape and colouring pencils and felt tip pens, it's seriously like I'm 5 years old again when it comes to my journal and I'm okay with that
K - Klearly Kirsty- I couldn't not give my blog a shout out in this A-Z could I? Originally Kirsty's Cosmetics Beauty Rainbow I recently changed my name with the help of my wonderful friend Naddy who I met at the Make-up Revolution 2nd birthday party event and I haven't looked back since
L - Lush- One of my favourite shops although it used to drive my mum insane when I lived at home as she was always paranoid one of the bathbombs would stain the bath and in her defense a yellow bomb did leave a slight tinge in the bath one time, white bath yellow tinge not good needless to say I got in trouble for that and had to get scrubbing the tub
M - Meghan Trainor- You'll usually find me singing along to Meghan either in my bedroom or in my car on both occasions probably terribly
N - Nightmare Before Christmas- One of my favourite Disney films/ Christmas films period. I could play this DVD and be instantly happy, if you disagree I'm questioning you right now
O - Olaf- The obsession is real, I have far to much Olaf merchandise and I cried when Paul brought me an Olaf slush puppy maker for my birthday last year. It wasn't necessarily the fact it was Olaf just that he remembered that I always really wanted a slush puppy maker
P - Paul- If you've been following me for a while you would have heard Paul mentioned numerous times. He's my boyfriend and we have been together for 2 years, we live and work together. Many people say we are the male/ female version of each other but I'm not sure how I feel about that... just kidding
Q - Quotes- Well this one should actually be Memes, I'm addicted to sending memes to all of my close friends via What's App and have some great laughs at how true to life they indeed are
R - Reality Television- Not so much these days but in my teens I used to be addicted to reality television. Big Brother in its hay day was the program to watch topped off with Popstars the Rivals and who remembers Fame Academy? These days I tend to opt for X-Factor and I'm A Celebrity as I don't watch that much television as I've gotten older
S - Selfie- Totally prone a good or not so good selfie. I'll take the same selfie about a million times and have all of the snaps on my photo album then when people see my album they think I'm crazy with so many selfies but you have to perfect just the right look before it becomes Instagram worth right? Snapchat doesn't help with this as the filters are just life I can't get enough of them, plus applying them to other people when they aren't looking is hilarious and I'm not ashamed to say I've even tried it with my hamsters but sadly it didn't work
T - Tennis- It has to be my favourite sport, not to play as I repel all sports but to watch. I get excited about Wimbledon every year and now it's over I'm having serious tennis withdrawals. The next big event will of course be the Olympics and then the US open in the tennis world
U - Unicorns- Like many people I'm sure unicorns are my favourite mythical creature, my wonderful friend Nora even brought me some light up unicorn slippers for my birthday
V - VANS- The comfiest trainers/ pumps of my life I couldn't live without VANS, you'll see me on the daily rocking my 101 Dalmatians VANS backpack
W - West End- To relax and unwind there is nothing better for me than heading to London even if just for the day to catch a show. So far I've racked up a few seen shows in the West End including my most recent Wicked, Jersey Boys (x2), Thriller Live, The Lion King and Billy Elliot. I've just found out that Rebel Wilson is staring in Guys & Dolls so that would be amazing to see her in that but as well as that I'd like to see The Book of Mormon, Funny Girl and Kinky Boots
X - Xmas- Apart from Halloween in the States Christmas is by far my favourite time of the year. Every December I get stupidly over excited and enjoy the whole process of giving people cards, decorating the house and tree but the thing I find the most rewarding about Christmas is giving gifts to others, I know we should be thankful for the people in our lives every single day but it's nice to have a day we can all spend together and treat each other with something special
Y - YouTube- I almost have my channel ready to go, since changing my blog name I need to change my YouTube channel name as they no longer coincide with each other. I'm a massive fan of YouTube and watch it daily keeping up to sate with all of my channel subscriptions. I hope on the near future to finally upload some content and begin my YouTube journey
Z - Zack- One of my beautiful Doberman dogs who passed away last year. As a massive dog lover it always hurts me so much when I lose one of them, I get very attached to my dogs so it's always hard to say goodbye
