Spring Time

First of all Happy Mothers Day to all the lovely Mummy's out there.

What a gorgeous sunny Sunday and with the clocks going forward I almost feel like this is the first time I have witnessed Spring... In fairness the Autumn and Winter months have dragged a lot last year and this year.

Anyway yes we are finally on our way to rejoicing good weather... hopefully.

Today we paid a visit to Twycross Zoo The World Primate Centre, I actually hadn't had chance to go for a while so it made a change.

Lots of people had the same idea it seemed as it was full and very popular, due to the sunshine I'm sure.

Never the less we had a great time and got to see some of the animals including Meerkats, Penguins, Elephants and lots more. Have a little look on the Twycross Zoo website www.twycrosszoo.org/home for more information including entrance fee, opening time, animals you can see and more.

With Easter around the corner I am going to create some little treats for work to give out.

I picked up some Easter items from Poundworld.

Here's what I got: -

First of all at the top I got some super cute Gift Packets to put my teats in.

I then got some Easter chic's as Easter is not complete without Easter chic's...

I got some masks, here you can see a sheep one, there are also chic's, rabbits and chic's with a little tuff on top.

I got some Haribo and these are special addition Easter Haribo and mini Cream Eggs.

I did actually get some create your own Easter Cards which I am going to put out in the play area.

Inside the Gift Packets I am also putting in some shredded material.

I really like this idea and think it is a great alternative to Easter Eggs if you don't want to purchase lots of them and are looking for something small yet fun.

I hope you like this post and it gave you some different ideas.

Do you do anything for Easter?! Let me know I would love to hear more...

Have a peek in Poundworld they have some great things and of course they are on £1.

Thank You for reading!

Slimming World

I have decided from today I am going on the weight loss wagon.

I have a summer holiday approaching soon so want to look good for it and not only that I have thought that I should really start watching what I eat and putting more thought in to it rather than just going for the easy option all the time.

I purchased a Slimming World pack online from www.ebay.co.uk and I think it was around £17.

I really only got this as a little guideline just to help me out and give me some new ideas and really just to make me more aware of what is healthy and what is not...

Included in the pack you get information on Food Optimising , which talks about the following: -

1. Superfree and Free Foods
2. Healthy Extras
3. Syns

Getting Started, Syns Selection and Your Progress

The Green Original which talks more on diet plans including: -

The green choice which allows you to have unlimited pasta, rice, potatoes, grains, pulses and vegetables, fruit, eggs and vegetable proteins like Quorn or tofu

The original choice which allows unlimited lean meat, fish and poultry, vegetables, fruit and eggs

Success express is something to help you get on track again after a day of Syns when you may have overindulge and you want to get on track again

Group Together goes on to look at success stories, additional tools like the Slimming World magazine and even the lowest weight that is acceptable in comparison to your heart.

You do also get a Body Magic pull out that talks more on exercise and what you can do to help your weight loss.

And you get a FIT log and a food diary that you can detail what you eat on.

For more information have a look on www.slimmingworld.com

I have also included a cheeky snap of the lovely Müller Light yogurt Smooth Toffee, fat free www.mullerdairy.co.uk

Wish me luck and thank you for reading, please leave me a comment.

Have You Discovered...? Beauticology

The lovely Becka from www.beckasbeautyblog.com over at @beckashepx on Twitter has created a Have You Discovered...? section on her page which she has kindly let people join in on.

The whole idea of it is each week you review a different product and this is something that you love yet it is hardly ever talked about...

You are suppose to do this on a Sunday so yes I am a little late to the party.

Today I wanted to talk about the Beauticology range from Baylis & Harding, I actually brought a set in the Boots sale just after Christmas and have been using it recently.

And although these are more festive time scents you can pick up a wide variety of different ones from the Bath and Body Shop as well as many other retailers.

In the gift set you get two of each product, including Vanilla Frosting Body Lotion, Chocolate Cupcake Shower Crème Spiced Gingerbread Cupcake Body Wash and Cherry Glaze Cupcake Body Scrub.

These are cute products that have a unique different scents and although they linger on the skin they are not overpowering.
My particular favourite is the Vanilla Frosting which i love to use after a shower and it really leaves my skin feeling soft and all ready for a great nights sleep.

Another great thing is that these products don't cost the earth, you can get a brilliant gift set for your family and friends especially around Christmas time as the Beauticology range is available at so many places including supermarkets.

Have you tried any of the Beauticology products, what did you think?

Thank You for reading and please have a peek at the lovely Becka's page.

Busy Bee Candles

**I received these little treats when I went to the BirminghamBloggersMeet14.

They are the Busy Bee Candles Magik Beanz in the scent Melonade.

These amazing Magik Beanz are handmade in Wales and are soy wax.

There are a range of different products available on the www.busybeecandles.co.uk website so please have a look as there are so many great ones to choose from. I can't gaurentee you won't want them all those, hehe!

You can also create your own scents with the Magik Beanz too, the recipes are available at Magik Beanz Recipes I really want to try the Cherry Cola, Monkey Magic and Bloomin Beautiful.

The Magik Beanz are available for just £1.75! An absolute bargain or what?!

The different fragrance families that are available include Floral, Fruit, Spice & Herb and Speciality. You can also chose the strength of the fragrance from subtle, medium and strong.

The Melonade that I am melting at the moment are strong scented, I love a strong scent as it really fills the room and gets rid of any odours.

I can't wait to try more of these out, the only thing is there are just so many to choose from!
Can I try them all please?!

**Although I received this product this review is 100% my own thoughts.
I wanted to review this product as it is something that I have really liked and want to purchase more in the future.

Have you tried any of the Busy Bee Candles? Do you have a favourite scent?

Thank you for reading and please leave me a comment.

Green People

In my effort to try something different I would like to introduce Green People.

Green People specialises in organic products that are never tested on animals and on the verse of the product it says that 10% of the net profit is donated to charity, what a great thing to do.

I have started using something from the Skin Care range, the Gentle Cleanse & Make-up Remover, for all skin types. The product has 91% organic ingredients certificated and is alcohol free, there are also other ingredients that are not included to ensure that this is a nature product and a list of the ingredients are available online, I will include the link for you all.

**This product was a sample from the BirminghamBloggersMeet14, however I really wanted to review it and all thoughts are my own.

This is a sample size so 25ML, the full size is 200ML available for £18.95, you can also purchase it in 50ML for £10.95.

I really like the fact that this is a multi product so not just a cleanser it is also a make-up remover.
I can't really remember the last time I removed my make-up with a cream however it works well against lipstick and mascara which can sometimes cause issues...

It includes the ingredients Shea Butter, Aloe Vera and Calendula creating a fresh scent and something that's is not overpowering when applied to the face.

I really like that this is a natural product and it is perfect to apply on to the face as it is not harsh at all.
For more products please go to www.greenpeople.co.uk

Have you tried any of the Green People products? Please leave me a comment and let me know.

Thank you for reading, I really appreciate the support.

BirminghamBloggersMeet14 #1

First of all I just want to say a massive thank you to Jess and Charlotte for organising this fabulous event for us Birmingham Bloggers.

It was actually the first meet up that I have ever attended so I was really nervous...
However everyone was so lovely and it was such a great day although I am paying the price as my legs are hurting so much owe!

Anyway to start of the day we met at the Bull outside of the Bullring and then went off for a little shopping for a couple of hours, I picked up some Gym Wear from Forever 21, who would of thought.
After some retail theory we headed of to Lush in Birmingham City Centre for a demonstration and a tour of the shop, at this point I was super excited as I adore Lush it is one of my absolute favourite stores.

The lovely Lush girls did a demonstration on making one of their popular Fresh Face Masks and we all got to take a sample home, yay.

The demos, the top one is of the Fresh Face Mask Catastrophe Cosmetic, which is available for £5.95 from Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic and the second demo that we had was a mixture of the Dragon's Egg available for £3.25 from Lush Dragon's Egg and the Fluffy Egg available for 2.95 from Lush Fluffy Egg it smelt amazing!

Some more of the amazing Lush products available, they have the Spring range available now, so items for Mothers Day and Easter.

A nice display of the Fresh face Masks and a sign welcoming us all, head over to www.lush.co.uk for all products displayed and more.

After we headed to Ming Moon Chinese Buffet Resteraunt for a lovely all you can eat meal www.mingmoon.co.uk and we had a lovely talk from Chris Windley and Kirsty Lo who appeared on the Take Me Out Series @MissKirstyLo about the Motives Cosmetics range available at

Some of us girls then headed on to have a chat and a coffee at a local cafe.
I had a great day and made lots of lovely new friends, it was nice to meet people that share the same
interests as me and also nice to know that they actually don't even live that far away from me.

My Top 4 Perfumes

I wanted to do a little review on my top four yes 4 perfumes not five hehe...

1. Is Marc Jacobs Honey Eau de Parfum 50ML for £46.99 available from
First of all I love the packaging I always think that this is important with perfume as you want to display it in your room.
The fragrance is fruity and floral and really great for the Spring/Summer months.
I haven't used it a lot later due to the Winter months, however this will return over the next couple of weeks as the seasons change. This scent lasts a long time on the skin and I also receive complement s on it when I wear it. Like I said not one I would use in the Autumn/Winter yet something to save for the Spring/Summer and holiday time... Sun, sun, sun!

2. Marc Jacobs Eau de Toilette 50ML for £47.50 available from
Another love of mine, actually I don't think there are any of the designers fragrances that I don't like.
I really like the simple daisy flower that is on the top it really adds a touch of elegance.
Again a floral fragrance and if you are looking to spend a little less money then why not opt for Daisy 20ML Refillable Purse Spray for £29.50 available from

3. Diesel Loverdose Eau de Parfum 50ML for £28.99 available from
This is my most worn fragrance at the moment, I have worn this a lot to work as of late and have had a lot of complements on it.
I might not have purchased this for myself however I got it for a Christmas gift and I have really grown to like it.
This is more dry than the others and is something that you would usually use in the afternoon/ evening, so for a night out on the town, drinks with the girls perhaps!

4. My fourth favourite is Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Eau de Parfum 30ML for £23.00 available from Nicki Minaj Pink Friday
I managed to get this in the Boots sale for £12.50 and it came in a gift set with a lotion and a roll on, yay! I only really got this due to the Boxing Day Sale offer and I was really surprised as I love it.
I would also like to try out the Minajesty to see what it's like.

Another fruit fragrance, seems like they are my favourite.
I think this is something that you can wear day and night and enjoy it!
Again something that I would like to take on holiday with me and did I mention that I love, love, love the packaging.

Remember these fragrances like all other vary in sizes so have a little look online and see what you would prefer, if it is the first time you have tried the fragrance go for the smaller size to see if you really like it.

Leave me a comment and let me know what your favourite fragrance is.

Thank You for reading it really means a lot.

TK Maxx Storage

I've searched for some storage online for a while and hadn't really found anything that I really liked, apart from my nail varnish storage unit.

So I got a little excited when I spotted these two lovelies in TK Maxx and I didn't even realised they did make-up storage until my mum pointed it out.

First of all I picked up a Vanity Organiser and as you can see it had six compartments for you to put your daily used products in and then display them on your dressing table, that is the idea I am having anyway.

The RRP was £19.99, TK Maxx price £7.99 so over half price, it is a plastic style organiser so very durable and won't get damaged easy and also perfect to clean if you get any make-up on it.

I also got this Vanity Organiser with six compartments included, I am going to use this for extra storage for my Brushes, again it is the same plastic material, It didn't have an RRP just saying £9.99.

They also had the small plastic storage draws available in my TK Maxx so I may revisit and have a little look at those.

Thank you for reading!

February Favourites

Well, well, well it's March already, this year is going so fast already...

I have already mentioned some of my favourite products throughout the month however I wanted to include them again as they are so great!

There as some random favourites in here, love a random favourite!

First of all and a little late we have a 2014 diary, I actually got this due to my other diary falling apart damn, this is a large diary that has a full page for each day which I like as it provides a lot of space. I got this from WHSmith store for £12.99 however there are others available online from
WHSmith Office Diaries so why not have a little look if you haven't got yourself a diary already for this year! It is a great work diary, just make sure you have a large handbag to store it in.

Ellie Goulding, Halcyon Days Ellie Goulding Halcyon Days Asda £10.00, this came out in August and I only just got it, why did I wait so long... I love it! Some of my favourites include How Long Will I Love You and Explosions. This is a regular on my playlist now and I can't stop repeating it.

I picked up this Boots Skin Clear One-Touch Spot Stick available for only £2.99 for 6ML from
Boots Skin Clear I actually got this due to having some redness on my chin area and this seems to have helped towards clearing it up, a winner in my eyes.

Although I have had this for a while due to some cold weather I have kept it handy to keep my lips hydrated, it is the Maybelline NY Baby Lips, Lip Balm in Cherry Me available for £2.99 from
Boots Maybelline Baby Lips as well as this orange version there are also five more to choose from. This is my favourite as I like the cherry smell and the red tint is just enough to wear on the lips if you want to keep it casual throughout the day.

The Dove Hair Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Spray 200ML £3.59 available from Boots Dove Hair Care I have nearly used all of this up as I like to spray it on wet hair and dry hair, it smells amazing and so ring that I will repurchase in the future. Boots also have 3 for 2's on at the moment on haircare so head on down there.

Underneath is the Lush Hair Doctor Treatment, this is a hair mask that you apply to your hair for around 20 minutes then rinse off in the shower and shampoo as normal. It cost £6.95 for 95g from
Lush Hair Doctor this leaves your hair feeling amazing after the treatment. If you Re feeling like your hair needs a little love then I would really recommend this. The scent really lingers on the hair even after you have washed it.

More haircare products I have enjoyed using are the Batiste Oriental Dry Shampoo 200ML for £2.99 Boots Batiste Dry Shampoo I really like the design on this it is so cute and I have used this around 2 to 3 times a week in between washes to keep my hair refreshed. I also like to use the Boots Essential Extra Firm Hold Hairspray 450ML which only costs an amazing £1.79 and it lasts for ages, you can find this at Boots Essentials Hairspray I used to opt for more expensive hairspray products but I really like this, it brushes out really easy and it actually doesn't make your hair look like you have a lot of hairspray on it...

What are your February Favourites?!

Thank you for ready and please leave me a comment.
